Man I have an attitude today, things just keep piling up! Look out the window, is it snowing at your house?? What have I done to @%*# off the weather gods?? Grouse-grumble and so forth--~
There, well I got that unloaded, now to head out to the farm and see if I can get the loader tractor started. I left it out overnight and she would not start yesterday. Batterys on the chager and I am taking an extension cord and hair dryer in case of moisture in the distributer. wish me something besides bad luck fellows. Have a good day.. Bob

I wouldn't mind a little snow. It was 105 here in AZ on Tuesday along the Colorado River... can't wait for the 120's to hit in a few more weeks.

Man yuou can keep that heat. That and hurricanes, tornados and sunomies. We slap a couple mosquitos, dress a bit warmer in winter, and enjoy our summer and land of 10,000 lakes full of fish. No wonder we get moisture with so much ground water. Really though, good luck with rain coming and dont let the cattle dring all the water, California nees some too.

Rain? Here? HA HA HA! We went for around 130 days with zero rain. This is pure desert here.

I'm originally from ND... was home during April to try to help with spring planting. We got 3 days of field work in and then it snowed/rained/sleet/hail/etc for a few days. That ended the farming for a while.

Only real bad weather is the occasional heavy down pour and wind. None of that other garbage. :o)

Hi Steven; Well you got a little moisture when you were home so your skin isnt all dried out yet. Where in ND? I help a friend out at harvest time near Keene. Whole different experience there but I grew up in Washington where we had dry land wheat. Used D6's to break ground, plant and pull combine's untill mid 50's. Its a great life if we dont starve. Good thing the wife has a day job.

Yeah, Dad wants me to come home and farm with him... but I don't know yet. Maybe once I get all my college loans paid off, hopefully the Mrs. can find a job in town so we can have groceries...

SW corner of ND, about 40 miles South of Dickinson. Here is a map:

Well Bob, It could be much dryer there and worse. Be very thankful for the moisture you are getting. I've spent most of Wed. and Thur. at more grass fires again and was out there last night till after 9 and looking at that powdery ground wondering how we will ever make it through summer. Last year was very wet here first time in 6 years and grew lots of fuel to burn and now real dry again. Lightning had way too many grass fires going here Wed. but yesterday was better and today we got some drizzle and fog to be thankful for. Still not any real rain to measure yet but it's wet and I'm glad. Had less than a inch here so far for this year. The NWS people told me this weather was La Nina's fault so that's who I'm blaming this time. ;)

I feel for you, I watch the weather channel and it seems that it is feast or famine all over. We were at extreme risk here for fire, no burning permits. Then a few days of rain but temps still hi 40s. This AM it was 34 (Farenhiet) and windy with snow. Well the wishs worked, The sun came out and its in the mid fortys. But no luck with the tractor so I just brought the starter in to the electric shop. Hope you get some of that rain. Bob

It does seem like one extreme to another with our weather lately. 90s Monday and 50s today. Not fun to get the extended winter you are having I'm sure. They had some good rain maybe a half inch today while I was next door in NM today but only a tenth or two here and sun came out before dark. Burn bans still on here too. Suppose to have a chance of more rain tomorrow so keeping fingers crossed.

O.K. I predict that when you get out to the farm, the snow will have stopped, the sun will shine, the battery will be charged, and the loader tractor will start. Of course, you won't need the tractor, because the elves will have snuck in during the night and will have done all of your work for you. If you get a chance to talk to those elves, tell them to head on down here, I need their help.

Rusty you have an in with the weather so help out the guys that need rain. The snow stopped, the sun came out, the battery was charged, but... The tractor didn't start, the elves were sleeping in cause no work got done. Deer were in the field. two pair of wood ducks on one pond and a pair of mallards on the other. Thanks for the help, Now the starter is in the shop so guess I will take the afternoon off. Snore---- Bob

You know, I was telling a friend of mine one day about how "life's not fair" and so on. He said "Yea, and it's a good thing life isn't fair". I said "What do you mean?". He said, "Well, if life was fair, then that would mean that we deserve all this cr*p that we get dished out to us. So I'm glad it's not fair!" Gave me a whole new perspective on things when they just aren't going right.

Hey Ron; Put it that way, I have it good and know it. Just like to gripe once in a while, sort of like MT ST Helens you know, if you dont let it off a little at a time, BOOM. I stopped on the way to the farm and bought a new charger with starting boost. Man said what can I do for you, when I shut up he said, I have a 2X8 in the back that will fix the attitude, and I can sell you the charger. Smart fellow that I am I declined the 2X8. Bob
