it might be 90+ at the stock 460 rpm. Id keep it simple, go with a factory overbore kit, if the block will clean up at .030,, start from there. I dont think it would be 5 hp difference between that set up and the 4 inch bore. Might be cheaper to build with the overbore,, Best way to get the HP your looking for is to rev it up. Amazingly,, the IH 6 gas comes on stronger at 2500 rpm, than it would at 1800 rpm. I do know,, that the HP will read differently with the engine in the 460 chassis,, VS like a 706-806,, The pto gearing is different ratios. The 06 tractors had the 540 pto rating at close to 2500 engine rpm, where the 460 is approx 1825 engine rpm at 540 pto speed. That same engine could dyno 80 hp in the 460,, where it could dyno 110 in a 706,, Pretty big difference aint it? It will make it difficult to tune HP on a tractor dyno,,, it will take 2500+ rpm to properly get the power your looking for, your 460 PTO wont let you get an accurate dyno reading cause the higher pto rpm will show lower HP, it only reads the HP at 540,, and the harder you pull on the tractor dyno, the more HP will show till it drops off,,, Anyways,,, open up the exhaust ports,, very restricted,, the combine carb will be fine, you will have to rejet the carb,, but the venturi from the combine should be a #35, which is a very large venturi. Great for high rpm engines like the IH 6 cyl. If you rev it up,, advise proper safety equipment,, scatter blanket for sure,, and double check all your bolt torques. at 3000 rpm,, a good 301 might make 140 hp, rev it up more, and it gets stronger, and stronger.
