Ok what animal is smart enough to find just the right place that it can push the fence away for the hot wires and then crawl/climb in and get another chicken?? Yep lost one more tonight some time between 7PM and 9PM. I'm just about to the point of putting another fence out side of the fence I have and make some sort of grid that is hot.

NOT RECOMMENDED BY OSHA...

Last fall, I ran a 110v ground wire around the perimeter of the corn patch just under the dirt. I ran two hot wires, six inches above the ground, six inches apart (well insulated and tight).

I got the 'coon.

We used to do something like that. On the old fence chargers, would remove the chopper and wire the three terminals together so the fencer stayed on. Coons and foxes would bite the wire when they got shocked and couldn't let go let go. Stopped doing that once we got smater and relized it was just a matter of time until we would find a neibhor kid dead on the wire.
