How much does a new pair go for these days? To me a tire is a tire, but I may have found a used pair at the boneyard with about 90-95% tread, and they are the 23 deg. radials. They're also mounted on rims right now but I don't really care if they would come with the deal or not, because the ones on the tractor are gonna go on the duals anyway.

They always claim atleast 50% off vs. new parts, so I may try my luck. Used is used, and a tire is a tire to me. One quote we got about 1-2 years ago was right around $7-800 mounted, tubes, and fluid topped off. I think it may have been for a pair of Titan's, or some other lesser known brand like I have on my 1600. I forget the name right now.

If I have time I'll try to call a few tire dealers and get a price tomorrow, see what I can come up with.

A tire is a tire until it fails early. A tire is a tire at the fuel pump, radial vs. bias. A tire is a tire reguarding soil compaction/crop yeilds, radial vs. bias. Cheapest isn't always the lowest cost.

It's funny how the cheapest tire almost always costs the most money in the end. Mabey that only happens to me. I don't know. I do know the set of Radial All Traction 23 degree's I've got has got the same hours now that several sets of worn out Bias tires got, and the radial is about 1/2 worn.... It cost about 30% more. I call that braindead economics. If you don't get it, you're .....
Better ride, more pull, better fuel efficiency. Did I mention the better ride? Slowly, radials are catching on. No doubt though, in some camps, they never will, until the bias can't be had anymore. In the mean time, I'll enjoy the radials, and save money on them too.

I saw some ads in our farm paper for the high dollar 23 deg radials. They were about $550 EACH for 18.4-38's.
