It takes me FOREVER to build fence (due to knees, back, hip, etc, etc,), but I FINALLY finished this section! I put up close to 1100' of woven wire fabric, planted 21 Wood posts, and drove another 32 steel posts. Built 4 corners and 2 pulls, crossed a small creek, and tangled with Posion Ivy. It's a little over 1.25 acres. I had existing fence on one side and part of another, but had to cover it with woven wire for the goats. I scrounged the wire, cut the wood posts from trees in the pasture, cobbed onto the 4 gate posts (they are actually old bridge piers - big and HEAVY), and managed to scrounge the steel posts and gate as well. I spent $12 on staples and clips (have some left over, too!), so I figure the Poison Ivy on my hand is worth it! I managed to get a couple of posts turned the wrong way so the bend in the post is out instead of with the fenceline, but I can cut the tops off a bit and it will be less noticable. Took me over a month, but the goats are happy with all the goodies that are available to munch! I will probably wait a bit before I start on another stretch I need to do! This is about 450' along my driveway. I AM looking for volunteers to come to SE Nebraska and help cut posts and plant them..... ...
