Greetings.

I have a Ford 2910 tractor with a Ford industrial loader (model 19-529). I"d like to convert the attachment mounting to quick-attach so that I can quickly switch between the loader bucket and hay grab. I"ve found a couple of websites (ultratach.com and preseeder.com) that list quick-attach units, but I guess, I would also need a quick-attach plate to weld on the back of the bucket and bolt onto the hay grab by means of u-bolts. Neither site lists such a plate and yet I think I"ve seen them advertised somewehere. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest that you tread carefully in this area. I bought just such an animal a few months ago, and found that the QA adapter that I bought did not have the correct pin geometry for my loader. This was after twice checking that the QA adapter was designed for my particular loader. So, it wasn't my fault. We came to an agreement to make things right, but it's still not all wound up....
I went with a universal skid steer attachment adapter. Now I can use any universal skid steer attachment on my loader, and the adapter works very well now that it's properly fitted. It's very handy. So I'd certainly suggest going that route.
Having done that, then you must convert your attachments to universal skid steer, which involves welding an adapter plate to the attachment, or making up and welding the mounts to the attachment. I made and fitted my own mounts rather than buying an adapter plate. This saves some weight, which is important on small farm loaders.
Again, I suggest watching the fit of these plates very carefully. The back angles of your bucket may be different to a skid steer bucket, and will require some different adapter kits, or blocking kits to convert the angles. If you don't do this, then the rollback and dump angles are thrown off. Watch out that the manufacturer doesn't just say "Oh well". It took me some time to hold their feet to the fire on that. Came down to make it right or take it back and you pay freight. They decided to make right. Hopefully it's going to be fully resolved... Good luck.
