Hi Bob;
You are lucky to have those original photos. The tractor & the crawler are the Rushton made in the late 1920's & very early 30's. Another brand that didnt survive the depression of the 1930's and Henry Fords pricing policy on the Fordson N.
These are Roadless "Girder" tracks, this one has 2 rollers, others had 3 rollers. Feltham, Middlesex is the town & county close to London where Roadless Traction operated from.
Roadless made full & half tracks for almost every make of tractor in the 1930's & 40's inc Case L & LA, Field Marshall, Allis B (yes half track B),
MH 44, Case D, but most were on Fordsons.
If you are really interested in the history of tractors, Stuart Gibbard published a wonderful book here a few years ago on Roadless history. I can get you name & ISBN book number if you contact me by email.
The most unusual crawler made by them was a Case L & LA crawler totally waterproofed which was used for towing life boats into & out of the sea on the coast here. Many still in use in 1970's.
Cheers David
