Hi Guys,

I must really be getting old or else that darned iron is getting heavier over the years. Don't remember the darned stuff workin' me this hard in years past.

Anyway, got that old cast iron front end re-bushed, got it shimed and swapped out, but I'm movin' a bit slower too. It took me darned near all day long to get this far!

Still gotta mount the radius bolster and 'spose I'd better throw some paint at the old darlin' too. :>)

Allen,
A couple days ago you posted concerning a bull that broke into your pasture and a resulting escapade with a bronc ATV. You didn’t say what happened to the bull. Did he get returned to the proper side of the border or did you just give him amnesty to do the work you wouldn’t or couldn’t do? :)
The tractor looks good. I like trikes but to each his own.
Sam

Hi Sam,

Oh heck, I got the bull cut out and ran home right off the bat; that was pretty much the easy part as the neighbors fence was only a ½ mile away. The difficulty came afterwards while I was checking fences on my way back to the yard.

There is a lot of that pasture out there that I've still never been in and it is pretty darned rough terrain.

Just wasn’t my week, I guess. The view from beneath either an upsidedown horse or ATV trying to land on ya is about the same. All you can think about is getting out from under it and doing it in a big hurry.

Just glad that darned pony didn’t break a leg when he went over; that ol' dude cost a lot of money. :>(

You defenitely have a lot of ambition Allan. You probably get more done in a day than most people I know get done in a month and that is no kidding. It reminds me of my dad. He is 65 years "young" and can probably out work two 20 year olds and a 25 year old put together! He is always up and rearing to go when the sun comes up. Must be something in your generation. Keep up the work. It is inspirational to all of us reading.

I can't believe how much you get done by yourself in a given day or week. And this is your part time hobby?? I hope I have half that energy and ambition to get things done after the big 60!!! And most of the time you are hobbled up or trying to do multiple tasking. Amazing to say the least. Keep it together for the sake of us boys here who follow your every day diary. Regards Migraine

Hi Jim,

Boy, not to my mind. :>(

Ain't nearly half as dangerous as loading a tractor on a trailer to haul to a silly parade somewhere, or runnin' 'em down a public roadway in a "tractor caravan".

Now to me, that's what's dangerous. :>)

Had a good friend breathe his last under a set-up like that, bet his family wishes he would have taken his chances at the parade.
