You did some work on that tractor. We have done more than a few like that. My 1120 is an import. The JD dealers here, were really mad about these tractors at first. They did not want to help you get parts or anything. They would say things like,"That tractor is not even suppose to be here!", and "We don't have parts books for those, because they were not sold in the U.S.". My reply was always,"Yeah, well they are here now, and lots of them, You need to learn how to get parts for them". The U.S. counter part of the 112o, is the 1530. Both of these tractors were built in 1975, and both were 45 PTO HP. But, very few parts interchange. Some do. I love my 1120, and like it better than a brand new 45 HP JD. In the 70's, I worked at a MF dealer. We had a buyer in England, that would buy used tractors, put them in Sealand shipping containers, and ship them to the Port Of Houston. Then, one day, we went to pickup our tractors, and all we found was a empty container at the port. Spent 2 days trying to find them. the end result was that we got the "hint", that we needed to forget about those tractors. We also got another "hint", that those tractors were probably in Mexico, by then. There was some corruption somewhere, for sure. Bottom line was, we lost our buyer in England, as the dealer I worked for, would not pay for tractors he never even saw. The England buyer did not insure them before shipment, so he lost out too. The imported JDs are all around here. I love mine, just wish parts were easier to come by.
