Well, down here is SE Texas, it is only about 94 or so, BUT, the humidity is about the same number, which makes it plum miserable.

we been out moving hay since 5:30 this morning,headed for 101 today..one of the loader tractors has a cab but the a/c hasn"t worked in years,so no middle of the day work for it..LOL

at least keep a hat on out there Allan and be safe..

At least you're not inside a cab! That would make it positively miserable.

Could be worse...

I'm running a chainsaw and log splitter. Havin' a bit of trouble justifying my actions, after all, cutting wood is to produce more heat when it's burned. Worst part is the chainsaw that gets a wee bit warm and suddenly decides it needs a break. Stalls and refuses to restart. That was when I went to the splitter.

As for me, I've been so soaked with sweat that I've been in for an hour now. Rest of my clothes are dry, but my jeans are still wet like I put 'em on straight out of the washing machine.

I'm thinking I'm a little weak-minded myself. I didn't even look for a shade tree!

You just need to sell all of them and rent one these 7150 with a 35 ft. fallowmaster with the 26" sweeps and you'd be done in few hours. Sure beat pulling a old oneway this time.

That one must not be near me. Too many trees in background lol. Well, brother in law brought over that 7150 and fallowmaster sweep plow so we put it to work and it sure was nice even though it was red. We always had green ones but dad had fun running it and didn't want to admit it lol. Now if we can just get some good rains to plant wheat on in September.

Oh yeah... them darn newer ones break too. We had LH steering hydraulic hose burst and had to fix it before returning it. Always something.

On its way to 108 here today, about 110 yesterday once it gets past the 100 mark it doesn"t matter what the dial says it"s just plain ole hot.
n-texas, no rain in I don"t know how long. Everything is flat burned up, no hay to be found. feed store got some small squares of alfalfa the other day and were selling for 9.50 bale

C'mon Allan, haven't you figured out that they put lights on tractors for a reason? Yep, it's so you can work with the temperatures, not aginst them! :) Or, better yet, take that second "big" tractor to avoid taking duals on and off, and make sure you've got a cab and air conditioning.(This, however, takes more convincing to get, so you can take your pick. :) Once you get one you won't go back to the open station deals. Lots warmer in the winter feeding hay with a loader, too. Have fun burining fuel, and make sure to be safe.

Its a cool 92 here and just finished emptying a steel grain bin.

Kinda nice sitting in the AC here in the house.

But Allan hasn't been here to prep the combine for oats so back out to the cool 92 I go.

Why don't I sell grain for April delievery?

Hello Ken

I loaded a semi of soybeans at 6:30 this morning and they quit running with about 10 bushel left to fill that load.

After he went to Burlington to dump and return he got back at 1:00. About 150 miles round trip.

So the second load was all clean out.LOL

I do have a sweep auger that helps out.

I have to load when the trucks are here.

I needed to loose weight anyway.

Ya know, ya really need to get a canopy for one or 2 of yer toys there to keep ya from frying yer brain more than ya already have...

I was gonna cut hay with our Massey 285 this weekend, but with the hot sun and high temps, that Oliver 1855 with a canopy over head looks mighty fine. I used it for 1st crop too, but the 285 was preoccupied with sumthin' else. I love playing on my Ollies, but the 18's got just a little more power than I need and I gotta switch the PTO shaft again back to 540....

My thermometer currently reads 80 degrees, after a low of 60 this morning, if it will just climb up another 10 degrees or so, I might be forced to go out and mow with my H. I'd be shiverin' at any less than 80.
