Whew!

Is it hot out there! 107 degrees and a thrity knot wind; feels like a dog-goned blast furnace. :>(

Need two raddle bearings, a connector link fer the header chain and I see I gotta straighten two bats on the reel yet, then I think it is 'bout ready for bear.

I'm gonna try running that reel without hooking up the variable speed. Never ran one threaded straight like this before; like to see how it acts. If it doesn't work, I'll have to run down a combination pulley some darned place 'cause this one is missing.

i used to have a 76f it was a great combine. Mine didnt have AC but i laid a sheet of 1/2 inch ply wood on top of the cab that extended out over the windshield a couple of feet and it seemed to help some. But when it was over a 105 it might have been 102 in the cab. it kept the sun from beating directly on the glass anyway. good luck

Your catchin me cause I'm on hold waitin for the oats to dry a bit more on whats left.

Didn't run today.

Kids and grandkids usually show up here on sundays so I try not to work on sundays.

Thats sure a good lookin combine for its age.

Alan, at the risk of sounding like a real sissy, fix the A/C ! Oats dust is the itchiest substance known to man. Oats dust combined with heat stroke is a terrible way to go! Keeps us posted, enjoy the pics. Ben

It's got air but no cold. Haven't even thought 'bout that part yet. Don't know if I'll get to it before the crop ripens or not. :>)

Well, the Titantic didn't really break down, the idoit's running it ran it into a big chunk of ice, not the ships fault.
