These sites keep track of large wildland fires and many many small ones won't be reported on this. 49 active large fires and highest level 5. Not good.

Link for the Chadron NE / Roberts Tract is not working right now.

Yeah I hope he got out and the winds will let up so no more lose things. The winds heading that way from California and Nevada doesn't sound good though. Been cooler and cloudy here today but rain in only spots and nothing to settle dust here. A few grass fires from lightning but nothing major. There are some serious large cracks in fields that have burnt off here.

It's got way past serious here and you can't irrigate your way out of a drought and got to have some help from above. Many are shutting their wells off and abandoning crops because they done spent too much on it.

And all along Lake Erie they are hogging all the rain and having major fodding. In a drought we go hungry but in a flood you just starve.
