Anyone even remotely close to Tulsa, Oklahoma have any pasture that can be rented or hay that can be purchased? As you all are aware, not only are we in a bad way due to lack of rain, but I am in a double bad situation with the marital mess and that is causing an even bigger ruckus, so am needing to find some place to go with what will be my portion of the total herd. I am hoping to be able to keep around 60 head of young cows, however if I can't find someplace to go with them, they will all end up at the stock yards. At this time we are planning on shipping 32 replacement heifers, 12 fat steers ready to butcher and enough cows to fill up a pot next week. We are out of grass, out of water and I am tired of the fight and it just isn't worth it anymore.... Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! CL

Farm Pasture For Rent

160 acres cult/past. for rent 2 miles east & 1 mile north of Kremlin.

405-728-3552 after 5:30

Might be too far away, about 125 miles.

PS: I have no connection with the property just did a quick search on loopnet.

Its way the heck over in Kentucky but hay and pasture both to be had fair, sorry about your troubles. If you need hay, got gobs of fall hay coming off now at $15.00 a roll, but the freight will be a killer.

CL, I'm in the same fix you are in here in SC on a much smaller scale. Having to sell calves young and light and will probably sell replacement heifers instead of keeping them. I really would hate to sell out and cancel breeding program, but you can always buy back later. Then there's the tax issue of selling a lot off at once. Sympathies.
