I have been unable to find info about the value of a JD 8020 tractor. There were only 100 made. I am told that there are only 17 or 18 known to be around. I intend to sell this tractor but don't know how to go about putting a price on it or selecting an auction if, indeed this tractor really is that rare. Any help would be appreciated as I have many, many tractors to sell from my uncle's estate and don't know whether to take these tractors to an auction or whether to just set prices and sell them that way...

I saw one listed for about $30,000 in green magazine (I think that is where I saw it) a few years ago. I guess you could start there.

Another guy you could check with would be Walter Keller from Forest Junction Wi. He was a J.D. dealer years ago and now he has a very nice collection including an 8020. He may even be interested in it.

There are more than 18 left exixting. I know one guy that owns eight and another that owns three. The survival rate is pretty good. I think two hundred were manufactured. For an honest appraisal, call Jeff at 800-795-3501. He can give you an honest figure.

100 made and about 67 known to exist. Some have been hacked up with farmer fixes and the value has dropped.
