a farm i bought last year has a kaiser fraser 4 door sedan on it slowly sinking into the ground. the car has a 6 cylinder supercharged engine. most of the car is there except the local hoodlums broke all the glass out it. is here any collectors in need of the parts or the whole car? i dont have a title for it. i tried to find a collector site on the internet but no luck. thx glenn

There are K-F collectors that desperately want every piece of that car (which I assume is one of the 54-55 Kaiser Dragons as Fraser quit in 51, and I don"t recall any blown Frazers)I think the blower option was a lst desperate effort to boost HP without re-engining, and not that many were sold (the story at the time was the blower was stuck on the stock engine, without anything in the engine beefed up to take the additional power, and they didn"t last too long, but all my K-F data gone, so I may be wrong). Try kfclub.com, put on craigslist (free) for your general areas, it should go real quick. Good luck.

Acording to my shop manual, Chilton's 1958, there were no 55 models, and according to the book; "Starting with 19954 production Manhattan models are fitted with a McCullough Supercharger as optional equipment", "The 1951 thru 1954 Kaiser engine will not interchange with any model". The McCullough Suppercharger differes from standard centrifugal superchargers in that it is designed to maintain 5 pounds pressure above atmosphere in the chamber which contains the carburetor. 1954 starting searial numbers - K-5451 & K-5421. Engine 6 cyl., L head 226.2CU, 3 5/16" X 4 3/8", 23.4 AMA HP, 140 Advertised HP @ 3800RPM, Torque 215 @ 2600RPM, 7.3-1 compression. Plugs AL-A7 @ .030 and points @ .016

Where are you? That same Continental 6 banger was used in Willys pickups & wagons in the 50's. A supercharged version is EXTREMELY desireable. The supercharger, carb & carb cover are probably worth more than the rest of the car.

Hemmings is a good idea.

Except of course, if you're in the Colorado area, then its only worth scrap & I'll be more than happy to do you a favor & take it off your hands.

Advertise it in Hemmings Motor News or a book something like that.
