Hey buddy, you might have a diamond in the rough. Check this out. Ebay item #190029900173. Sitting on a gold mine out there and not even knowing it. Harley

Yeah,

I've been watchin' that tractor sell. Looks like he might get his money back. Well deserved too; he's really shined that one up right.

I've got something like $14K in my old 966, so I know what those things cost to fix up. Good part is that when you're done, you've pretty much got a new tractor and you don't have to worry 'bout 'em again for 30 years. :>)

You know what? I think I'm going to buy the tractor you want and "borrow" it to you for a year or two.

I think the only thing you enjoy more than these old red tractors is fixing these old red tractors :)

You might be right.

When I was young and in my prime, these old tractors were brand spankin' new, so I still vividly recall what they "should" be like.

It is kinda fun to watch 'em come back from the scrap heap and end up like the day they rolled off the truck. And yeah, I am gettin' a little itchy for a winter project. :>)

So, if ya wanna buy one, buy a 656 diesel; to my mind, they are the perfect IH tractor. :>)

I've got to rebuild this old plow also. Went shopping for a Massey and just can't find one in good enough shape to justify it's cost.

So, I've decided to redo this one. Scared to call for a price on the parts. Bet it is gonna be at least double or triple what it's original purchase price was. :>(

Oh I dunno,

All the serious buyers are on here anyway and have been listenin' to me bellyache about it for the past year.

It probably wouldn't bring the price of the new tires. :>)

Sold Allan! For the price of the new tires! Let's arrange a time where we can meet and I'll swing the P/U and trailer down that way and take her home with me! It'll be a good fit for her to come up here to Wisconsin. :P
