Hi All,

Whew! This loader deal has turned into one big nightmare!

Everyday, I think I'm gonna get it wrapped up and every day a see a hundred more things that need attention.

Anyway, after totally ripping out all the old hydraulics, tank, valves, struts and piping, I've finally turned the corner and am heading back the other way mountin' things back together again.

Boy! I'd like to get this thing whipped and done. Got other fish to fry. :>(

Allan

Yeah, but just think of what you'll be able to do when you get that beast working. Started the toughest job of my year so far today as well. Cleaning the shop. Ughh.

Allan, you going to use grapple and teeth off the H or do you have another set for this one? Won't be long till bucket and chains on the H. Those old NE winters give me chills thinkin about it. Larry

This one has it's own head, grapple and cylinder.

It's kind of a farmer-thrown-together affair from a pre 50s Farmhand welded up to a newer style head. Trouble is, by doing so, they have elemenated the quick attach feature.

I'm looking to find the "correct" head with the quick tach for this loader, but this crusty old thing will work for now, I guess.

Hey Allan, if you need the quick attach parts, try the dealer there in Big Springs, or the old Farmhand dealer (the one on the north side of Highway 6 out near the cemetary, don't remember the name right now). Both of those places have sold and have lots of the F10's and F25's, that area is one of the few where those loaders are still the most common loaders, lots of loose hay put up still.

The old oil in this thing looks like used engine oil.

Before I fill it, think I'm gonna pull the two hoses at the rear of the main cylinders, hook on to the front beam with the other loader and lift the front of this one up in the air about 10 feet to see if I can get that old yucky stuff to run out of there.

What a mess! :>(

Allan, I lifted an old loader on an JD A one time. Never was able to get all the air out, At least I think that is what caused it to refuse to lift to full height after that. Good luck and post us a pic when finished. Bob
