I am a bush pilot in Alaska and have an International TD-14 that I use to plow my runway. It has a Delco Remy Model #756 starter (serial #22187) and the coilspring broke. The measurements are 2-3/8" O.S.D. x 1-7/16" I.S.D. 3" long O.S. to O.S. bolt holes. Looking to purchase replacements. Thanks. 907-262-9249
David

Bob, FWIW, that mey be a Delco number: I"ve got a Niehoff catalog that shows a number 710 (sandwiched in among all the usual DR 1108etc numbers) for some 12V TD"s and TD14"s, 1944-47, and TD-14A"s 48-56.
The section on DR to Niehoff conversion numbers starts with 178N, climbs thru hundreds,(but has no 700"s), thousands, and hundred thousands before getting to the usual 1118881 type of number.
Conversion table does not ID numbers as to ignition, gen or str component; this not my field, so I could be misunderstanding something here.

That's NOT a Delco starter number, unless maybe for a rebuilt.

I have a rebuilder's parts catalog I'll look in, by application, and post back tonight.

I have several dozen of those springs. I'm not sure how much the thickness of the spring wire varies between applications. Also, they are wound in right or left, depending upon how the starter is mounted. I'm sure I could match it up,if I had it "at hand", but it's a little tougher over the 'net!

Any CNH dealers up there? You'd be surpised how much stuff they can still get for the older stuff, even electrical parts.
