I have read a while back about a product to seal the inside of a rusty gas tank. My local auto parts store does not sell such a product but says that if I find the name of a product and or company they will try to get it for sale as others have also asked for this type of thing. Can someone please post the name of such a product and the name of the company that makes it? Thank you.
John

I found some at a local Case-IH dealer a couple weeks ago. I don't recall the name, but it was $27 for quart and you mixed it with MEK (Methyl Ethyl Keytone).

The tank is on my 1950 Plymouth. Thanks for all of the replies. Mark at Fochman's will be happy with the info. I am also going to ask Bill at Jim's Radiator Shop if he can seal it.
John

I buy it from Eastwood. They have the kits. I buy the sealer by the quart and clean the tank whit what I have on hand. I cleaned and sealed to Allis B tanks last weekend. I would guess all the brands work one as good as the other. Super clean and dry is the secret.

Have your auto store call 920-734-2651, get the paint shop and ask for Mike. I have used his stuff in three tanks and it works excellent. It's a three step proccess and take a few days to complete but, it's good stuff.

Went through this about a year ago with a really badly rusted tank on a Ford 641. Finally took it to a good radiator shop. He cleaned it and put some yellow stuff in it. Said it was impervious to all known fuels.
Sediment bulbs been squeaky clean since.

Some I remember are:
Kreem
Red Coat
Johnsons
POR-15

Did you check with local automotive paint stores too?
