Hi,I installed a new generator plus voltage regulator on my MF50 and some how 12 volts of power is going back to the generator. Is it a faulty regulator? What I am doing wrong?

If the Bat lead is hooked up to the gen, and the gen is hooked up to the bat wire, it may do that. The cutout relay in the Reg. stops the flow if it connected correctly. With the fat wire from the reg to the gen disconnected and the engine off, check to see if there is zero resistance between the BAT terminal on the reg, and the GEN (sometimes called ARM) terminal if there is the regiulator may have its cutout contacts stuck (welded) together, or dammaged. Good luck. John T has posted his trouble shooting guide on here many times, Look for it in the archives. JimN
