Well yesterday I was minding my own business, rare for me, but ya know. I had heated the oil pump drive gear in the oven, frozen the shaft, and gotten completely ready for the installation. I was set up on the corner of the dining room table when I pulled the parts out of their respective places. About the second whack with the machinist hammer, she started yellin'. Turned out the top half wine glass that she had on the table decided to leave the bottom half and proceed about 6 inches into the air before coming splashing, crashing back down on the table. She was yelllin' for me to stop and now I have a half installed oil pump drive gear....

An' she don't understand what she did wrong....

Haaaa, yer jes an amittour using the dinning rm table fer a werk bench. Them tables is too weak & wobbly, top is gonna split ratdown the middle (don't ask).

Put the bred board in the kitchen sink, set the pump onnit and smack the gear with a BFH. Put the pump asm in the dishwasher fer a couple cycles, cleannit up spik & span.

Joe

Kitchen tables or dining room tables make great work benches when you don't have a shop. Do you think she'd mind if you put a vice on it? Dave

There just ain't no justice is there. Using her over, her freezer, her dining rood table with her crystal on it, and she just can't see the big picture. Don't know, but ya gotta love em. Harley
