Hi Guys,

Been workin' like a beaver trying to get these old corrals rebuilt and some windbreaks put up to fight off these nasty Nebraska winter winds.

A carpenter I'm not. Can't line up one post in a row neither.

Finally got all the posts and stringers done today and I have to run get one more load of tin tomorrow. Least maybe the babies will have a little protection. It's comin'. I can feel it. :>(

Allan

You got way to much ambition for me.

I've been workin on that addtion on the daughters house and I'm sick of it.

Poured the concrete walk today.

Going to finish the elecrical tomorrow.

Then comes the trim. Did I tell you i"m sick of it?

When I get done harvesting its supposed to be slack time.

You just never Quit!!!

Gary

Tell me about worken on a house . I have been worken on this old dump since we finished up corn choppen and i figured that i had time to rip down the plaster in three rooms and replace with new drywall have it all painted and trim striped and restained and back up in no time and have a couple days to go hunting , NOT as sofar i have only two rooms down and still worken on stuff in them that needed fixen . plus doing some outside repairs that i found while replacing windows . Now if i could get ahold of the old carpenter that built this old dump he and i would have words as to his woodbutchern and his methoids of building . And oh yea his choise of nails , 3 1/2 inch FINISH nails and them darn cut nails that just plum eat sawsall blades and these are not the cheap one . Then the weather has held me up on getting the drywall hauled in everytime we plan to go after it it pours . Lastnigh one of my excustomers and good friend shows up with a drywall lift for me to use , Bless his heart as this will make handeling 14 and 16 footers SOOooooo much easier . Just glad that the corn is a littel slow dryen down as i realy would like to get this job done before thanksgiving .

Vet

I know what your saying.

When we started this project in August it was gonna be all done before harvest.

As you can tell that didn't happen.

You're way ahead of me.

I've gotta round up some wire and start on this thing just as soon as the roof is on and will start the trenching next week.

My brother is an electrician, so hope I can coax him into "pointing me in the right direction" on the touchy parts. :>)

It never ends..... .we 'sposed to be kickin' back, ya know. :>)

When we were there the walls wern't poured yet I don't believe.

Looks like the wife is moving you to the farm.

Guess that means a new shop will be in order.

I hear you there. I got the corn out, hay put up, cows out to pasture and now I'm on to odd jobs. I know what you mean about building fence too. I spent a couple weeks last spring rebuilding the working/loading facilities. Good news is I was able to put 225 head of cows throught the chute and have them preg checked in right at 2 hours, with help of course.
