Hi MJ;
Where abouts are you situated? My wife's sister lives at Ingham north of Lincoln. Its 265 miles cross country from here - 7.5 hours hard drive accross the country !
After these mountains & small fields, I get lost in your flat broad acres landscape !
My 1973 John Deere 920 came from Nick Young Tractors in Lincs.
Regards David

Hi Dave and thanks for calling. I live in the village of Collingham wich is 5 miles north of Newark on the A1133. I have a small buisness dealing in Manitou fork lift trucks and telescopic handlers just over the Lincs border at North Scarle. I have been in the farm machinery trade all my working life (now 63) and know the Ingham area very well. Just sold a new Manitou handler to the Lincs agricultral collage at Risehome. Yes I know Nick Young very well and last saw him at the Newark tractor show 2 weeks ago. I took my newley restored 1940 Farmall BN, I also took my 1945 Farmall H and my 1951 Ferguson TED20 with a Ferguson mid mounted mower. Hope to meet you one day. Michael Hart.

But anyone who's tried it will know you don't want to drive across the UK. All the roads go up and down but there aren't many across. That also doesn't give you an idea of the traffic. A truly crazy place to try and drive. tractorsam

Maybe from Chicago Il. to E. St. louis Il. Maybe LoL.JusT ribbing you David. That is what us Colonials call "Teasing". In 17 Generations I descend from "John Plantagenet-3rd. [1206-1272], King of England "so my English connection is distant,yes, but it is still a documented fact which we are cognizant of. John

One of my relatives who is into geneology claims that almost anyone of English ancestry has a royal in the gene pool somewhere. Seems they had LOTS of illegitimate kids around the country side. ;)
