Well Rats!

Tuned up the old tank heater and it works just fine..... .....

Then I find that the other tank now has a leak in it. Guess I'll get out my old inner tube and some fat washers and try to patch 'er one more time.

Really hate the idea of changing out a tank this time of year.....brrrrr .

yeah, it's funny how the critters seem to know to eat alot of feed right before a cold front or storm.

Do waterers ever have problems when the weather is warm? Naw I don't think so! Electric heaters are nice, sure a lot better than feeding an old tank heater cobs and coal and hope it keeps running overnight

You ain't just a kiddin'!

I'm going to throw the cover on this little tank tomorrow. It just waters the horses.

The tank I'm really worried about is the big one where the cattle are. Took 3" of ice out of it today. Now, it's leaking, so maybe it will be okay til morning.

Then, I have to do something about repairing the rascal and moving this heater over there.

Seems to me that Cowman warned me 'bout all this "fun" stuff. :>)

What are ya thinkin' man? It didn't leak until you melted the ice. You'll save labor and electricity if you let Mother Nature plug it up.

(Now do you see where Mrs. Grub came up with the saying- "Today's solution is tomorrow's problem")

Keep after it Allan. Those beeves will pay you back later.

ALLAN i think i always hated the feed grinding more than fooling with the water&heaters.
Feed grinding you never knew if the tractor was going to run or how long it would run?
that was hog feed.

I always thought grinding feed was sorta fun.
Belt the old F12 to the old hammer mill, throw in a scoop full of ear corn and git back out of the way so you didnt get hit by flying corn. Then wait for the F12 to get back up to speed and throw in more corn.
