friends father has a eary farmall h with a home made 3pt hitch, uses 2 cylinders hooked to the belly pump set up as one way. has a back blade on it, pretty heavy one. when he lowers the blade, it drops Fast! he asked me if i can get him a restrictor that goes in the hydraulic line that gives full pressure on lift but restricts the return of fluid. he remembers something that screwed in the output lines at the pump. i gave him a spool valve and hoses so he could hook up a 2 way, but he dont want that...set in his ways i guess. anybody ever heard of one of these?

You need a floating orfice in the one way pressure/return line, it floats up and opens full flow going up and then it settles down and restricts the return flow, this comes in one fitting

Parker flow control valve inline with cylinder, turn it the opposite direction to control the drop.

Burdens surplus center in Lincoln, Ne. will have what you need. I tried to post a link, but it won't work. They do have a website.

You could put a restrictive orifice in the SA line to the cyl's.. and it would restrict flow both retracting and extending, though would not effect pressure.

For full flow and pressure on the lift.. but reduced flow on the lower, you would need something more.. say.. a restrictor in the return to sump line.. or a pilot operated check valve and a bypass line with a restrictor that had a return to sump.

My vote is for a restrictor int he return to sump for the easiest fix.
