Here is a little movie that explains why I choose to live in the deep south.

Sorry but you guys on dial up may have to pass on this one because of the size.

Along with no fire ants we don't have hurricanes, rattlesnakes, water moccasins, gators, killer bees, kudzu, armadillo's, grits, wintering French Canadians, Cubans, Hatians, and last but not least the idiots who can't drive when they get a quarter inch of snow.

So I guess it is a trade off.

thanks for the show --- and I was able to get this with Dial up -- it just took about 10 minutes to buffer up is all, but ya know, your right, it sure is cold up here, but more over, that cold keeps the bugs (and reptiles) away and lazy folks who like to sleep and lay around, we have to move just to keep warm... enjoy your warm country...

The snow keeps the fire ants away. We grow up learning how to ski. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! ;-)

John in la,, I know your sentiments exactly. That's why I now live in Louisiana instead of up in Indiana. God Bless. Bob Da. (La)

Its sort of a trade off. You get more heat in the summer for a longer time we get more cold for a longer time. My self I prefer the colder weather to the hot weather. You can add more cloths to help keep warm but once your down to nothing on theres no more to take off to keep you cool. We got about 3 inches of ice, then 5 or 6 inches of sleet on top of that and then about 10 inches of snow. In my area theres roofs falling in becuase of how heavy the stuff was

That is funny!!

When I have to clean my windows, I always start it first so it will be at least halfway warm when I get in.

John, I got a good chuckle out of that . It was a good one. I live in Northern Mo. and last weekend we got 7 inches. of snow. Just south of us many people got 12 to 15 inches. I got out my snow blower did a few of the neighbors drives. I think snow is so pretty but not everyone agrees. Have a great day and again thanks for the laugh.

We got 15 inches of snow here - rather 14 inches of snow on top of an inch of sleet. The snow was spotty, ranging from 12 to 18 inches within a few miles.

I deliver to the Bumper to Bumper Store in Sedalia 18 inches there I got stuck twice Friday night right there at the store, shoveled out once and rocked out the other. Some where between 10 to 12 at Ash Grove on top of 2 inches of sleet.

GOOD ONE! And, you just HAD to temind me it's supposed to get down to about -15(F) around here tonight, with the wind chill from the 10 to 15 MPH wind making it feel close to -30(F) as it freezes the skin off your face. BEAUTIFUL EVENING, BAH, HUMBUG!
