Only a little off topic as it will probably hold tractors. I'm starting to design a bank barn, and am trying to figure out what I need for the floor to support a tractor or car.The floor will be 24' by 30'I can put a beam and posts under it if need be.With a beam the span would only be 12'. Have any of you built something like this? I'm just at the info and planning stages right now and am wondering what I might be getting into. Thanks alot Mike

When you get to acutally building, you will need an actual engineer to sign off on a design for such a thing.

Precast concrete might be the way to go, and you will need the supports if you want to be able to afford it.

Myself, I never liked a tractor/ car on a wood floor anyhow. Spill some fuel or oil drips, and you have a real fire hazard imho.

I've put the hayrack wheels through the floor of the wood haybarn floor enough times, that I'd look real hard at pre-cast....

The Amish build Bank Barns all the time useing common Wood Posts and Beams however if heavy machinery is to be parked on it I would use steel support columns and Steel sills with Wood Floor Joists 3"x10" no more than 8' span ,16"Centers,resting on the sills.2" T/G Flooring should be OK for the avg. Car or Small Tractor. Would not be cheap. Consider Concrete?
