Morning Guys! I picked a a neat piece from a friend over the weekend that he wants me to sell. It's called a "Pony", and is the size of an over grown pedal tractor with a small Tecumseh motor in it and belt drive. A little two wheel cart with stake sides came with it. Rumor has it when Massey Harris came out with their Pony tractor, they had a promotion and gave the buyer one of these units. Anybody know?

Sounds like a Bantam tractor. There were several differant brands made. Sears sold them also, they were gray with black trim, some were red with black trim. Does it have a 2 cycle Tecumseh enigne, belt drive, engine under tractor with some huge pullies running it? They also made other pull behind attachments such as reel mower for them also.

Went to the Bantam website..this is definately not a Bantam. Found a tag under the hood that dates it a 1953, made my Continental Motors, Detroit, MI.

It could be a Bantam, from what you descibed. This was probably restored 20 years ago and painted dark red with white stripes. I'll try to post a picture if I can find what the wife did with my camera!

Thank's for noticing, Gary! Been running around here and there. Went to a sale in western Ia Saturday. That red iron seems to be holding it's value OK! Saw a 1066 like Allan's go for $10,200.00. The air WORKED on this one , though. (sorry, Allan) Think the grain markets are driving the used market, again. Only good thing was a little auction house right across the street from this farm sale was selling a bunch of old Deere parts and got a whole pickup load there worth the chips!
