Howdy,

Here in Ohio it's been real warm. Unfortunately with doin inventory here I couldn't take off work to enjoy it. I heard a guy on the radio say something that about sums it up. When December borrows weather from April you always end up paying it back. God bless.

I had to make a trip up to the Cornell campus and kids were riding bikes in shorts and tank tops. One thing I've noticed over the years though, if you get spring when it should be winter you're likely to get winter when it should be spring.

Shoot the first of dec. we had 3 inches of ice and on top of that 3 inches of sleet then to top that all off 10 inches of snow. Now 2 weeks later its up around 60 degrees today and they say it will be 70 plus saturday. Begining to think maybe we will have summer again then winter all in one month.

If you get tired of that wet weather just send it on over as it's getting dry as usual here again. Had one dry snow that blew bad and some cold but back to mild till the next one gets here from your way. Many places been warmer than here lately and that does seem unusual. Sounds like we may only get the wind and not much moisture again. It has to get over the rockies before it can get here.

We have had some colder weather here in AZ, but it it warming back up to normal temps (mid 70's), just a cold front that lasted about a week.

Back home in ND it has been 45 degrees during the day. Dad said it snowed for 4 hours yesterday morning, then the sun came out and it all melted. High winds with it, blowing dirt and snow into everything! Still, unusually warm.

Been mild up here too. The weather guessers say we are supposed to get back to reality this weekend. Overnight temps will start dropping below 0F again.

Here in central New York - two weeks ago we were had a few two-below-zero mornings and snow on the ground and the ground was frozen. Now?? Birds are chirping and it's been in the 50s during the day. When it got cold - I fired up our big wood furnace and now I hate to shut it back down - but it's been smoldering for days and it's almost 80 degrees in our house with many windows wide open. I know - as soon as I let it go out it will get cold again.

McKay creek. Its was full before this rain event, and the water from this event has'nt barely started to get to the creek yet. These pics were taken on 12-14-2006, at about 3:00pm. We were loosing power occasionally yesturday in the wind, so I turned the puter off for the night.

Here in New England, just as crazy - warm, [40's - 50's] We've had one cold day so far [last fri] teens & wind. This time last year, we'ed had a ft. of snow & temps. below zero. Even the 10 day forecast isn't showing any real cold stuff. mid Dec, no frost in the ground is bizzare.

Keith

West and north of you 40 miles from the pacific ocean it has been a very strange year for weather. We had hardly any rain from late may thur October record rain in november with snow and wind. Now December at this time they are reporting winds of 90 mph at Ocean Shores, and we are five hours from the peak of this blast. Today it rained at over 1 inch per hour for three or four hours.

Hope you and shawn are making progress on the C.

Jim

Jim, been watching Portland news, over 300,000 homes without power. I know where Ocean Shores is at, my folks live at Pacfic Beach in the late 80's. I have a cousin living at Ocean Shores.

Yeppers on making progress on Shawn's tractor. He is coming along slowly but surely. I could've had it ready to paint, but it is his job. Will be putting new clothes on it soon. We are still looking for a WFE for it, in time I guess.

Stay in out of the wind and rain...Stay Safe

Keith & Shawn

I think it's been warm and wet everywhere. We had a few real cold days - but other then that it's still a good 5 degrees above freezing still
