Looking in the back ground on the second picture what did get a repower a 06 or 56 tractor?I plan on a 466 in a old 706 gas I have but haven't got it done yet.Have the motor, 806 frame rails ,fly wheel,clutch rear motor plate .I know about the cross over for the radiator and some linkage changed any thing else?

That is a 706 was a gas tractor if you need pic's or imfor i'll try to work with you .that one is not quite done but real close.

the boys are going to redo that 966. i put that engine together last week.

the old engine there had bad sleeves four galded pistons.Been putting this job off long enough.

You got more nerve than I do. Them straps on the engine lift hooks look awful light, to my way of thinkin'.

No log chains?

An engine block is not the sort of thing I'd want to drop on my foot! But you can do what you want.

O no Dan. Them straps will not be used to put the engine in the tractor.them are just to move it out of our way for right now.

i have a engine rigging chain.

There is just no way that engine will ever run, or even start, unless that valve cover and manifold get painted.
Suprised you old pros missed that.

you missed more than that thats no 966 manifold, there is no ih stamp on the side of the block, must b a dt-466 truck motor can you say farm stocker, ha ha ha
