In my JD manual it calles for different torque on D grade bolts, or F grade bolts, for the main caps. What will determine F, or D grade bolts? Thanks Stan

In John Deere terms: The grade "B" bolt is a low alloy steel; with a plain head. The grade "D" bolt is a grade five as we know it; with three lines on the head.. The grade "F" bolt would be a high alloy steel..

That is a JD question!!!
SAE bolt blank through Supertanium are normally lines on the bolt head,
Metric are numbers from nothing to 14, which is approximately equal to grade 8 SAE. Letter values seem wierd. JimN
