I found them this weekend. 5 years of looking and i found all three of them, the tractors my grandfather grew up on. I was with a friend looking at old tractors when we saw a bunch in a fence row, gate was opened so we drove on in and ran into a woman and her daughter. The daughter knew me because she and my grandpa went to school together. I spoke with them and they told me what i wanted to her. The older woman even had the sale papers from the auction were they bought the tractors, from the early 70's. When i brought the first one home, Grandpa went to tears, i got all three hame by 5 on sat, and had one running by late yesterday, i have already been told that rebuild kits, tires, and paint have already been ordered. Grandpa told me there would be unlimited funds when i brought home his daddy's tractor, i never thought he was serious, grandma is going to kill me, i think.

wow good for you finding all 3 of the tractors. I know how it feels to find a family tractor like that because i found and bought my grandpa's 1953 ZA that dad though he had scrapped back in the early 90's. turned out it was being used for a lawn ornament just 10 miles from home. I found it by accident when i took a different way home from college. dad wasn't happy that i bought it but the look on mom's face was priceless since it was her dad's tractor and he had passed away only the year before.

The neighbors told me the other day they were going to go to the Bahamas to go SKI-ing. I was confused so they explained, "Spending the Kids Inheritence!". It's good to see them so happy and active.

I would give a small fortune to get the TO or the N back that my father had, but I am sure they are long gone. The TO was a well kept machine. The N not so good.

Not sure how relavent this all is, but thanks for the story.

Aaron

Wow lucky you! I bet the look on grandpa's face is something you will always remember when keeping those tractors while you can now.

One bit of advice...

Ya better go BIG on the flowers for Grandma for Valentine's Day. Might make things a little easier for all parties concerned.

WOW!

Do you know what the odds are against that? You'd better be for buying a lottery ticket!

Finding one is almost unheard of. BUT THREE?

WOW and double WOW! Good Job!

This is a great story. I am glad for you and your family to have part of it's farming history back. Stan
