It amazes me how stupid the Ford people are. Dont they know that they need more cars to sell to guys like me, They dropped the Escort so I bought a Chevy Cobalt. The Focus didnt look good to me. Ford is still in the mentality that they need to sell only trucks even with high gas prices. Oh well.

The Lincoln Town Car was scheduled to dropped at the end of the 2007 model year, but was revived. After assembly ends at Ford's Wixom (Mich.) Assembly Plant in 2007, Ford intends to move Town Car production to Ford's St. Thomas (Ontario, Canada) Assembly Plant. Currently production is scheduled through 2009 or so. By then Ford will have squeezed tha last penny out of the 20+ year old platform.

As for the Grand Marquis/Crown Vic being junk, ask the police forces what the think of them, especially the ones that are trying the new Dodge Charger out. So far the intial purchases of the Charger are the ONLY PURCHASES, to many problems to keep them on the road. And while you're at, check out what model of car most taxi companies are using.

They sell a ton of those to police forces, and are coming out with a replacement in a couple years (Ford Intercepter was a concept) As much as some would like to see it gone, I think it will be around for awhile.

Ford is closing the plant where they are built, along with the Lincoln Town Car. Supposedly production of the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis will be moved to a Canadian plant, but with Ford's troubles this plan may be scrapped.
