You will be glad to know that the LA is back on track at $2500. I wrote the the seller and he wrote back and said that he really didn't know what happened.

It seems the seller has killed off that one and a half million dollar bid, and I love the reason he put for it. At least he's honest. Seems as if someone else claimed this was a scam auction, not sure why.

Saw one of those little putt-putters sell on a farm sale 3 years ago. Darned thing brought four thousand dollars.

Stopped by the "threshermen's grounds" in extreme NE Montana one time- took the self guided tour, saw a lot of decent but unrestored tractors. Asked if they ever sold any- they weren't much interested in selling anything, but when they found out I was from western Washington, they perked right up. Said if I could find them an L or LA in running condition, I could pretty much write my own deal on a swap for their duplicate tractors. I never acted on it- because those little puppies are getting pretty dear around here, too.
