I'm from west of Colorado Springs, CO in the mountains. I'm one of those pesky Winter Texans that stays on Long Island Village for four months in the winter.

I have friends here that go out often and seemingly always catch fish. I have not been out.

Are you familiar with the swing bridge to this island? It's the first one I've seen.

I'll try to post a picture of that bridge later.

Yes that is a one of a kind bridge. I have stayed at that park several times as a "vacation" so to speak. I have always wondered how far down that cable goes so that boats can go over it without it catching the props. Is that bar (Margarita Mommas) still open just shore side of that bridge? I rebuilt all the refrigeration in that things a few years ago but I didnt think that rest would ever do well. Anyway take care and have fun. Valley people don t mind you winter texans, you bring what they dont have.....money. Caleb in TX(College Station that is)
