Off Topic , I have a question. I purchased a tractor with an external antenna hookup for a cell phone in the cab. Can I use that wire and antenna for a citizen band radio? Thanks guys

You might be able to listen and hear something, but don"t transmit. Cell phone antenna is set up for 800Mhz and higher, CB is 27-29Mhz. Also the connector on the cell antenna is probably a "SMA" connector. Most CB"s use a UHF, or called a pl-259 connector. As with any radio transmitter, use a inline watt meter to check your swr, standing wave ratio. Some CB"s have a built in swr meter, I have some luck tuning an antenna with them, but I like using a "Bird" meter. Radio Shack carries a cheap inline rf SWR meter. Good Luck...Good Buddy.

2800+ MHz. is the 10 meter band for hams, don't go there!

CB is ---> 26.965 MHz thru 27.405 MHz.
