Different parts of the country different names, Here in MA if you buy a six pack of beer you go to the package store, here they put your soda in a bag,
when i worked down south they would put your pop in a sack, i don't know what its called out west. or your hometowns.

I'm in Southwestern Ontario and pop has always been pop. A Coke is a Coke or a Pepsi is a Pepsi. We used to return bottles for 2/5 and 10 cents. Now all pop bottles are mostly plastic.

A coupla weeks ago the return of Licquer bottles to the Beer Store for a refund became law.

Was raised on farm in central Michigan. Breakfast in morning , dinner at noon , supper at 5 or 6 at end of day. LUNCH is what they brought you out in the field at noon when you didn't have time to come to the house for dinner. If breakfast is in morn and lunch is at noon and dinner is last meal of day then WHEN is SUPPER??? In my opinion , supper is a word that was just beneath the social graces of many socialites and only to be used by the mere peasants of society. Well , I guess that's what I are. I also use the word "ain't". Lord have mercey on me.

Here in Kentucky all soft drinks are pop. We have one of our own it is called Ale 8 One it is sorta like ginger ale only a lot better. If you ever come through this part of the country try one. The ones in the returnable bottle are the best.

I lived on Rabbit Town road or real close most of my Life I expect I know you. Drop me a email. I am on Barlow Ridge now just across line in Montgomery county. We have sweet milk and light bread. The Mason Dixon line goes through Bourbon county just north of here so we have considered this to be in the south.

I am from Winchester home of the Ale 8. You are right that little fuzzy ice is hard to beat. Around here we call it swamp water or sometimes it is referred to as a green dragon.

In NW Indiana, we always said "Pop", but just an hour North of us in Chicago it's "Soda"!

HUH?

In my 64 years, all we ever called soft drinks was "pop", even when we went into the "city" to visit my aunt and uncle. My wifes' aunt came from St. Louis area (St. Charles) and asked for a cherry soda(pop), when the girl brought her a whopping ice cream soda she almost fell off her stool!

In Louisiana, they call them Po-boys. The best ones are the ones loaded down with fried oysters.
