Does someone have the web site for Craig's List? I Googled it tonight and came up with some confusing hits.

Glenn

Craigslist (comes up here as one word) is pretty much whatever you want it to be: chit-chat, job list, stuff for sale, free stuff, really unbelievable array-spectrum, way too much to try to list (sales forums are also patrolled by a lot of people looking for stuff cheap enough to put on EBay), and dirty pix if you like them; if not, stay away from men looking for men etc etc forums. It"s practically put the newspaper want ad section here, as to individuals placing small ads, out of business. Like Dom deLouise ? says: "try it, you"ll like it".

I thought that site was for classifieds or something so I looked, All i got when I searched for it one time was a page for people posting that they were coming to town and wanted a bed buddy, or "1 hour massage in your home by lovely large woman-$150/hour. So I bailed that site, is there really a decent site with the same name? "Craigs List"?

Hi Dave.

Everyone else here has it right, there is a craigslist.org page for almost every major city.

And you are right, depending on which category you look at. Its sort of like the entire classified section of a newspaper, but also includes the personals section. I have found apartments on there, furniture, a TV, a stereo, a racquetball league, and any number of other things.

I say give it a shot, just stay away from the "casual encounters" section, thats where all the X-rated offers and massage per hour stuff is.

I havent ever tried it for finding a tractor (Im in Washington DC, so its the wrong area) but its free, and usually has great stuff.

Just my $.02

Hi, Glenn -
It"s a little confusing because there"s a different site for each major city. You just have to pick the one that is closest to you. It"s a neat concept, and my son likes it better than Ebay. Here"s a link that you can start with, then choose the area/city you need. Hope this helps.

I have an account with the Omaha craigslist, but if I want to, I can put a listing on any other craigslist. I currently have listings on both the Omaha and the Des Moines site.
