I have a whole crate of tractor tire chains that I don't need and would like to sell. How do I figure out what size they are and what they are worth?

I went out and separated all the chains today. I have 6 sets;
Set 1: 68" long 12" wide (this is one pair plus a spare)

Set 2: 54" long 9" wide

Set 3: 100" long 31" wide

Set 4: For Dual Tires (I think) 91" long 35" wide

Set 5: (not a matching set, one is shorter than the other) piece 1 is 90" long piece 2 is 77" long both are 22" wide

Set 6: Old and missing some links. 100" long 19 1/2" wide

If you e-mail me, I will send you out some pictures. I am thinking of putting them on e-bay, but the shipping will be outrageous. Thanks for all the posts.

Im in Syracuse and would be happy to give you something above junk price, if they are as advertised.

The chains are used, I'll bet I have between 5 and 8 sets of them. I am in upstate NY near Rochester.

Just a bit to far from SWMN. If they show a lot of wear I will bet they came off road graders from the state or county.

new or used? If they are a mix of all different sizes, probably too much trouble to sort & size. Find out local heavy steel junk price & sell"em by the pound & they pick what they want.

Darn good question. My local dealer went through several sets of chains that were unmarked trying to get a set for me. If it was me, I'd match up sets, measure the width and length, and post the measurements on ebay. be sure to state its up to the buyer to make sure they measure their tires and get the right size, and offer NO refunds or exchange. Tire chains sell for good money on ebay, i saw sets selling for more than the dealer sells them for.
