Now don’t laugh at this dumb question as I know the only dumb question is the one you do not ask. I have been around tractors and driving them for 36 years. Having that been said your tractor hydraulic connectors (IE Pioneer fittings) are referred to all the time by SCV . What does that stand for? I have not a clue and almost ashamed for not knowing and by no means a Green horn.
Thanks Northeast puller.

I really enjoyed the answer by in-too-deep, but I've only seen SCV to refer to a JD remote hydraulic valve. Yes, it's a Selective Control Valve. Otherwise, like with Pioneer, IH, or others, it's just a remote.

If you look in a repair manual or owners manual you will see that they are Selective Control Valve. Just fancy term for hydraulic valve.

I don't know for sure but I was told years ago that it refers to the Self-Sealing Check Valves built in to both 1/2 of the Coupling.
