Well, I dont know a lot about them but here is what i experienced with our 400 LPG Farmall. It had a little different head design than the gasser. I dont know about the difference in seats but i do know the valves themselves had an S or SF stamped in them as they were Sodium Filled due to the extra heat created. I am not sure if there was any difference in compression ration or not. I know our LPG was a hard starter when it was cold. Always had to ether it. It ran great and as long as we werent pulling a plow or working it hard we ran it on vapor, turning the liquid valve off on the tank. It worked really well in a hot sun on that tank durning the day. I never really noticed a difference in power although some said you could tell when under a hard load. I never tried to compare, when plowing, I always just opened up the liquid valve and went to work. Turned it off when I left the field etc..... ... IT was a great tractor and surprisingly economical I believe. The T/A was a weak spot and the power steering always leaked, it was a charlin. IT was a row crop and with the loader on it, it was hard to steer even with the charlin. I have heard the 450 LPG heads are different as well, not sure how but they are and are desired by the pulling community. That tractor did have flames that came out of the exhaust when working hard. They were pretty blue and the muffler got cherry red. Very distinctive odor as well but man did the oil stay clean looking in it. Just like you poured it out of a can. Never got dirty looking.
