You must have inhaled some of the paint from that fancy cab of yours. I grew up on a Michigan dairy with 2 3020s, 2 4020 and I bought a 5020 when I took over. Granted the 5020 was a heavy beast but when it comes to manueverability and horse per pound, the 5020 was disgracefull. All the other tractors had power shift and they are the easiest to use, most versatile, most dependable tractor I have ever used. The only weak point in those old Deeres was the PTO brake. I never had the opportunity to use a 4320 but I believe from the description it may have been the best tractor to have hit the farm. I know the first thing people are gonna say is what about IH, well I have worked at many other farms and used about 40 different Red ones. I will give IH guys the point that red tractors are pulling son of a guns. But once ya look at replacing the TA on a regular basis, rebuilding the front end way to often and having to stop to search for a gear cuz the shifter is shot, they aren't quite as reliable as some people let ya think. I have spent thousands of hours on 504,666,706,856,966,1066,1086,1206, and a couple different 2+2s. The 666 was the closest thing to compare to a 3020 in ease of use. The 856 was the closest thing to a 4020 in the field but no where near as manueverable or easy to shift. There is a reason that so many old Reds are seen at tractor pulls, just as there is a good reason why the 20 series Deeres bring the price they do. Lots of people used them and found out what they could do and 40 + years later they are still doing it.
