Is there much out there for mccormick deering enthusiasts? You never here much about them at all. Just wondering? Just picked one up, trying to decide if it is worth fixing up. Thought it would be, it is like a 1928 model and the sheet metal is like perfct on it, it just needs a carb and mag, and I have them located for around $300.00, not too bad I didnt think. Is there any special sites fro these tractors to where I can buy parts?

HI there!
If your not interested in buying them-I would like to know where to get a couple. I was at an auction a few weeks ago and bought my first one. Something I had to have at the moment-took her home and cleaned her up a bit and she started! I also don't know if its worth it or not, but I thought, why not, I'll get into something here and there. I own a concrete company and have a leaf business-why not get involved in something else! LOL
What are you going to do with yours?
Joe

I have two McCormick-Deering W-30's. Definitely there are people who enjoy the vintage McCormick-Deering tractors.

Just google McCormick Deering and you will likely find some web pages.

Hi Moline Bob -

Sure there are enthusiasts for them - I have 2 - one original on full steel in running shape.

I've got several 22-36's in various states of repair - when my Dad was growing up, an old used 22-36 was one of the first tractors they managed to buy to get into farming.

I was at a sale the other day and the old guy had 8 of them scattered around that he had farmed with, so he was pretty sold on them!

I have 2 of the 10-20s. A 1925 and a 1931, both are on full steel. They are great tractors. There is a lot of good info in the Farmall forum and the guys there are really nice. Rice Equipment is the best place to get parts. However right now there seems to be quite a few parts on e-bay.

IMHO I think they are a great entry level tractor if you want to get into the antique tractor hobby, lot of them around, fairly simple, cheap, and good parts availability. I think they look good too, especially on full steel. Dan AB
