Hi Gang;
You can now see the furrows are set up high rather than being turned flat. The chains pull the solid steel "boats" which together with the "diablo" wheels press the furrows into shape.
This particular plough has been heavily modified for competition work, and has a lot of removable weights to aid penetration.
Cheers David

Interersting very interesting. When you can send a photo of the plow out of the ground. Straight no till for years has a yield reduction over a period of time.

Looks like cheating to me ??

I guess I just don't see the point ? As soon as you run the disk over it and get it ready to plant all that picture perfect is GONE !

Is the US the only ones who moved away from those soil erroding practices to no till ?

Mike there are still lots of folks in the US that plow ground. I am one of them, and have lots of neighbors that do also.

The seed is broadcast on the furrows, falls into the valleys THEN the harrow goes over it knocking off the pointy tops into the valleys covering the seed. It's an old timey thing, no longer practiced.

What fun is plowing like that with everything "perfect"? Reminds me of cloning sheep and other things of that nature. I like to drop a "regular" plow in the ground and "let er rip"!

Thanks David! I'm amazed at all the built-in adjustability of those plows. In a match, do they only use these in grassland ploughing?
