Rich, I'm very sorry to hear that. I have been off the sight a few days or I would have replied sooner. My pop is 84 and yesterday was the first good day he has had since a bypass operation last Oct. He knew who I was but thought his house was my house. But this is a huge improvment. Your dads and my dads generation will be sorely missed. What an awsome group of people. I will pray for you Old. May God be with you and yours.

Same here - My sincere condolences.
We are all on borrowed time. My FIL is 93 and only kept on this planet by modern drugs. We, ourselves, are only a generation away...

My condolences to you and your family. We are facing the same time you have had with your father. Mine has been in and out of intensive care for the past two months and now we have had to move him to a nursing home for the extra care he requires. He, too is 83, will be 84 if he lives until August. The doctors don't give us much hope. Mom is taking in hard. We will remember you in our prayers.
I tell my church members all the time, "that God is God all the time and That Jesus is Lord of All".

Sorry to hear of your loss, I'm never good with words, but your buddies hear also share your sadness, perhaps each in a different way. It is always hard to say good bye. After the dark cloud passes, the sun will shine again. Life will go on even if it is kinda of a tough one, it's just hard to accept that death is so final. Yet at the same time it helps us understand and focus on what is important in our lives. As the stream of water rounds off stones, tears help round off the sharp edges pains in our heart. You will think of him often.

My dad is 77 and still makes it out to the farm most every day and still helps with some of the farm work. I cherish every minute with him as I know it won't last forever.
