I have a 830 comfort king, and the PTO needs adjusted. There is no side plate to get to the pins to disengage , as the manual says there would be. I can't find any inspection plate on the entire PTO housing. There is a round plate on the differental, it was supporting the pto lever, to engage the pto . Any idea's

I am also quite sure that Case never built a tractor that required the PTO housing to be removed in order to adjust the clutch pack.If you still can't find the access , e-mail me serial # and I will see if I can help,

If it is pre Comfort King there will be a small plate on the r.h. side of the PTO housing that allows access to the clutch pins...it is only about 1.5"x 3"plate ( the opening is smaller). Some of the very early ones just had a pipe plug to access the pins.

I had a "62 830 years ago and it had pto trouble also.It had a inspection plate on th side of the housing so you could get in to adjust it.The pto shaft on it was a stub shaft that would come out the back.If I remember right ,the manual I had had two pictures in it.One was the setup in mine (pre Comfort King)and the one for the CK.I wouldn"t bet the farm on it,but I think on the CK the whole housing had to come off because Case changed the drive system.Like I say,Don"t remeber for sure.
