I have a S150 Bobcat skid steer. Today when I was working the machine shut off acting as if it was out of fuel. There was still about 10 gallons in the tank. The primer bulb was sucked flat. When I disconnected the fuel line from the primer bulb, I could get no fuel from the tank. Any suggestions out there as to how to resolve this problem?

if it is like my bobcat the fuel line comes out the top of the tank. This short line inside the tank has a small checkvalve and screen at the other end laying in the botom of tank.blowing air back will only blow this line off and them you wil be out of luck completely. i had to remove tank and get new line in mine as it had deteriated and fell in the bottom. You probably have the same problem.

Take the fuel cap off and blow from the primer bulb back to the tank. there may be a piece of garbage moving around in the tank and plugging the outlet. If this works you may have to remove and clean the tank. I have the same problem with my john deere backhoe at this time. The bobcat fuel tank vents usually don't plug up. Jim WJ

Fuel is drawn from the bottom of the tank through a flexible hose that is suspended from a plug/connection in the top of the tank. This hose swings freely inside the tank as machine moves and shakes side to side and fore and aft. Hose may have broken or cracked from flexing to allow air sucking. I had to replace hose on my 753. Raise cab and you can access fuel tank . You should see supply hose connection on top of tank. The rubber plug that the hose connector is mounted in has got to be removed from its mounting hole in the tank . Remove it and if the hose in the tank is not completely broken off from the connector, the hose and a small weight on the lower end of the supply hose can be withdrawn from the tank. Replace the broken/cracked hose . Reinstall.
