I have an All 190 that sputters and dies going uphill, I can pull the choke and it will run a little longer but still dies. Any ideas?

Updraft carburator? If so check for crud in the bottom, maybe shifting around interrupting fuel flow.

How steep of a hill are you climbing? maybe needs the float adjusted, or maybe sediment in the bottom of the tank covering the outlet when you go up hill. Those are my guesses

I've never seen a gas 190 although I ran a 190XT diesel a lot. With the fuel tank behind the operator, it seems like you may have a failing fuel pump if it uses one.

i know it seems like a stupid thing to ask,but first things first,is there enough gas in it to stay above the pick up?,,ok,i've asked the obvious, now does it peform the same under a belt or pto load and also under a drawbar load as well?

Plenty of Gas, runs fine under load till I go uphill.

ok,if it works fine under a load, than the load of climbing a grade isn't the problem so it sounds like it maybe loosing gas somewhere.when you pull the choke and it helps for abit, then it sounds like it is not getting enough gas and when you choke off the air supply, the mixture is right to keep it running untill the last bit of gas in the line runs out.
