We have a 1926 Fordson tractor that has been in the family since the original purchase. My father-in-law restored it to great condition and it runs great. We are trying to find out what it is worth. Can anyone give me ideas on where to look or who to call to get the current value?

If you are just looking for the value, you would probably just need to keep checking out what others in similar condition are selling for. If you want to sell it then EBAY seems to be a great source for buyers. Look at the other tractors being sold there and how their ads are written. Make sure you place a RESERVE price on it so you don't give it away, but high enough so you feel like you are satisfied should it be reached or go even higher. If you Reserve is too high, then you will get some hits that may or may not give you a good feel for what it is worth. Lots of pictures, too.

Then, let the bidding begin and see what the market will bear. Oh, yeah. make sure your auction closes on a Friday or Sunday evening when most of us are online and making those last minute, gotta have this one, bids.

To your family, if they care, this tractor is priceless. You couldn't replace a tractor that was driven by one of your ancestors.

The antiques roadshow would probably give you a value. I don't think you will find a lot of people wiling to pay big bucks for it, but who am I to say. I would think that areally nice one ought to be worth about $1000.
