We've rented a cabin near New River Gorge in West Virginia for a few days next week. Does anybody know of any steam shows, tractor shows, old time music, folk art, that kind of thing going on in West Va,south east Ohio, eastern Kentucky for next week or the weekend of July 28-30? I heard about a steam show over in the Shenendoah Valley, but I don't know if I want to go that far east or not. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You will have fun. We rafted down the river years back, like to do it again, before we get too old.

You might try just siting back and enjoying the view or a train ride on Cass or maybe A trip down the river. I hope you enjoy your stay in our state.

Rick: When I was there the other Saturday I went to the Cass Railroad. I liked the shop tour and steam locomotives. J.

Is that in Webster County John? I see they are having a Historic RR festival there next weekend, thought about checking it out. The wife wants to go rafting,I just dread the thought of my old bones cracking on the rocks, but maybe one of the class 1 or 2 would be OK. We do a lot of canoeing, but that is more just floating on these slow rivers in Michigan.
